Debi McDonald

Debi McDonald was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and she has lived in Louisville, Kentucky since she was twelve. Debi is married to Geoff and they have three children Jacob, Becca and of course Sami too. Debi’s passion includes her family, bible study ministry and Sam’s Rock ministry.

Debi founded Sam’s Rock, which is a prayer and support group, shortly after her youngest child, Sami drowned in their pool. Debi was filled with so much grief and so many questions after Sami’s death and Sam’s Rock has provided her family, along with countless others, prayer, support and encouragement during the difficult storms of life. God ministers to the broken hearted in powerful ways through Debi’s story; as well as through Sam’s Rock.

Debi facilitates bible studies in her home, counsels people who are trying to cope with their grief, encourages and facilitates others in starting prayer group(s), and speaks to groups sharing her story of God’s faithfulness and His peace that transcends all understanding. While Debi’s journey here on earth will never be as it was before Sami’s death, she has learned to walk daily with God, counting on Him to provide all she needs.
